Survey Results - Methodology

The "Four Minute On-Line Survey" was conducted between April 28 and May 28, 2004.

This survey was intended as a fun opportunity to test an on-line survey approach and collect some interesting data on neglected subjects of real importance. Certainly, no one should confuse this survey with scientific research. Nonetheless, some interesting things emerged, as described in the reports.

Approximately 100 people were invited to complete the on-line questionnaire, most of whom are personally acquainted with Martin Redfern, either personally or professionally. Most of the invitees are employed, between the ages of 30 and 50, and residents of Ontario. Most work in professional capacities related to research, public relations, communications, or management.

Sixty-four people answered our questions, exceeding our initial goal of fifty completed surveys. This included 26 females, 36 males, and 2 undeclared. Forty-seven of the sixty-four respondents were married or in common-law relationships.

The questionnaire was grouped into 15 question categories, requiring a total of about 63 separate responses from each respondent. The survey took approximately 4 to 8 minutes to complete. Comments or Questions? Contact Me.
